Ian Villanueva aka HeavyBoogie is a dance educator and a fixture in the freestyle and battle scene over the last 18 years. He was a member of pioneering popping and locking crew in Manila, Pinoy Funkin Styles, and founder of freestyle hiphop dance catalysts, Original Flavor Crew. He has engaged with dance communities around and outside the country, teaching, judging, and organizing events. Above all he is a passion driven individual that stays in pursuit of his love for music, community, and culture.
With a deep affinity for R&B and Hip Hop music, Aica Basa explores groove as a fundamental element of her artistic practice and movement. She understands groove as the space where patterns are continually re-encountered and reshaped, as different musical contexts produce different feeling.
Rather than repeating movement as a fixed form, each iteration becomes a negotiation between structure, timing, and personal expression — where repetition reveals variation and individuality within a shared rhythmic essence.
