Keycee Velez

Keycee Velez is a waacking artist, teacher, and community leader grounded in the history, expression, and individuality of the form. Her practice is rooted in the foundations of the style, while constantly evolving through personal experience and lived movement. As a mother of IHOW (Imperial House of Waacking Philippines) and founder of Dojo Waackers, her work extends beyond performance—into building spaces where dancers can grow, connect, and take ownership of their voice.

She moves between battling, teaching, and mentoring, bringing a clear and honest approach to how she shares the form. As a member of League of S and part of Nude Floor faculty since 2021, she continues to guide dancers toward a deeper understanding of both the technique and intention behind their movement.

Her class focuses on grounding students in the history and foundations of waacking, using repetition, drills, and exploration as tools to build confidence and clarity. The aim is not just to learn steps, but to develop a personal language. Dancers leave with a stronger base, a clearer sense of self, and a movement work that reflects where they are in their process.
